A prominently illustrated and pictorially presented building, featured online to be of historical interest.
Pimys Ltd were commissioned by the client as the CDM Principal Designer for a major restoration project involving a significant structural specification to contain damp ingress from the exterior, a complete renovation and restoration of the 13th century structure and interior refurbishment. A Grade two listed building which has been bought up to a modern occupation standard retaining every aspect of its original creation. A leading contractor and a distinguished design practice have provided some highly skilled applications to this project which has received some close scrutiny from formally interested parties. The timber frame with lath and render infill has been renovated and the prominent brick chimney of intermediate date has been partially rebuilt in original materials. All the cosmetic installations to provide habitation have not been allowed to encroach into the basic structure. A great deal of forethought was required in all aspects of the project, not least the immediate traffic management and safe working of a precious building.
